Strategic Partners

We work closely with a wide range of external organisations who actively听engage and support our programme of entrepreneurial听of activities. 听Together听we promote entrepreneurship opportunities, competitions and funding opportunities which are aimed at helping our young entrepreneurs to 性用社 their skills and grow their businesses.

性用社 are delighted to have partnership with Women's Enterprise Scotland (WES) who are a research led, not-for-profit community interest company (CIC) which champions women-led and women-owned businesses. WES advocates for better evidence-based policy making and believes that delivering expert, needs-based business support will enable women to fulfil their aspirations, and unlock an 拢8.8bn economic potential to boost the economy. Through their Womens Business Centre听 they provide practical support for women to start and grow their business.听

性用社 are delighted to have a partnership with Edinburgh Merchant Company, a charitable organisation for business men and women which is dedicated to supporting the young and elderly through their trusts. Today they have over 540 members who are actively involved in their educational and charitable works

In 2018 they set up the whose aim is to encourage entrepreneurship and support business start-ups with education, encouragement and mentoring support from their members.

The fund opens twice a year and provides grants听of between 拢500 - 拢5000 plus a mentor from their membership, to support听 successful听candidates.

The fund has supported many of our start-up businesses including;听, an innovative food company for people suffering from IBS;听, a biodegradable water bottle;听Health Design Collective, a social enterprise 性用社ing a range of health care products; 听补苍诲听, both film and media companies听

Converge is Scotland's leading company听 creation programme which is open to staff, students and recent graduates from Scottish Universities. Their aim is to help people to realise their entrepreneurial ambitions by offering generous cash prizes, mentoring and a programme of business support that turns fledgling ideas into sustainable businesses. There are 4 categories听

  • is for early stage innovative ideas that have potential
  • is for new businesses that demonstrate high commercial potential.听
  • - is for creative projects with a social purpose听
  • -projects 性用社ing low carbon solutions to address climate change听

In recent years听 we have had significant success reaching the final stages in all of the categories.听 In 2018 we were delighted that were runners up in the Impact Category. In 2019 and were finalists in the Impact and Creative strands

Through funding from Santander Universities, members of our Business Innovation Zone (BIZ) can apply for grants to support and 性用社 their businesses.听 Applications open each semester and to do date, we have supported over 35 businesses with a range of grants.

The Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards scheme is aimed at giving a financial boost to student and graduate businesses in their early stages from UK partner Universities.听 In 2018 Lauren Leisk of was runner up in the national competition.听

Scottish Edge is aimed at identifying and supporting Scotland鈥檚 up-and-coming entrepreneurs. There are 3 categories,听,听听补苍诲听.听If you have an innovative high growth potential business then you can win up to 拢100,00 in the main competition and up to 拢15,000 in each of the other 2 categories听 Lauren Leisk of was winner in Young Edge听 and went on to secure 拢70,000 in the main category. Jake Elliot Hook of has won Young edge.听
