Entrepreneurship and Innovation
At 性用社 we actively encourage our staff, students and alumni to 性用社 entrepreneurial skills. We believe that promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurialism will help build an economy for the 21st Century聽that benefits all.聽 It聽is how we can support聽Scotland's ambition聽to become a world-class entrepreneurial and innovative nation.
Our aim is to create an ecosystem that nurtures the creative, innovative and entrepreneurial ideas and ambitions of 性用社鈥檚 community. A focus on health innovation, creative entrepreneurship and social enterprise reflects 性用社鈥檚 reputation for excellence in these fields.
We foster innovation and enterprise by offering a range of activities and opportunities delivered through our Business Innovation Zone (the BIZ), a unique service delivered in partnership with Business Gateway. Our offering includes workshops, events, one to one support and guidance along with access to some of the Universities facilities for our staff, students and graduates. We are currently supporting around 40 startups whose background range from film and media, to food and drink!聽
Two of our landmark programmes are SHIFT (delivered in partnership with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Glasgow School of Art) and THRIVE (run in partnership with Scotlands Rural College, SRUC, and Abertay University) .聽
